ZCS Azzurro Achieves EPD Certification for Its Entire Product Range

ZCS Azzurro, the brand of the Green Innovation Division of Zucchetti Centro Sistemi (ZCS), has achieved Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its entire range of solutions: inverters, batteries, and charging stations.

This international recognition, obtained two years ahead of upcoming international regulations, reaffirms the company's commitment to real and demonstrable sustainability, while maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

A result that further consolidates ZCS’s position among the leaders in the renewable energy sector, with an offering focused on ecological transition and certified environmental sustainability.

What is EPD Certification and Why is it Important?

EPD certification is a voluntary environmental declaration, verified by third-party organizations, that describes the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle (LCA – Life Cycle Assessment), from production to disposal.
ZCS Azzurro started the certification process in 2023, selecting EPDItaly to ensure the highest level of data transparency.

Product Quality and Process Innovation: The Strengths of ZCS Azzurro

In addition to its environmental excellence, the EPD certification also confirms the quality of production processes and the care in after-sales services.
The new ZCS Azzurro Analysis and Repair Center, operational since 2024 with an annual capacity of 20,000 service interventions, enables:

• Optimization of production processes

• Reduced service times

• Efficient recycling and end-of-life product management

The EPD certification involves a meticulous process that assessed every single component of the ZCS Azzurro devices.

Some ZCS Azzurro devices are able to offset the total CO₂ emitted throughout their entire life cycle within just a few months.

With over 1 million systems installed, 7 GW distributed, and 2.5 GWh of storage capacity, ZCS Azzurro is today one of the most solid and innovative players in the European photovoltaic sector.
